The 2012 CARWH Conference Program is continuing to take shape.

The conference includes two keynote presentations on day one, a series of four student presentations on day two, as well as a closing keynote and panel discussion sponsored by the CIHR Institute for Gender and Health. The main conference consists of five concurrent sessions: three on day one and two on day two, and is preceded by Student Day on May 31.

Please note: The call for proposals is now closed. Notification of acceptance of abstracts and proposals will take place the week of March 5, 2012.

We have an exciting mix of keynote speakers: Mieke Koehoorn from the University of British Columbia, David Walters from Cardiff University, and Pat Armstrong from York University in Toronto. Bios for our keynote presenters can be found on the Program page.

We look forward to seeing you in Vancouver.

WorkSafeBC is proud to host the Canadian Association for Research on Work and Health's next conference.

A biennial conference, CARWH 2012 will focus on innovation in occupational health and safety research, and bring together research experts and research users to expand and advance the dialogue on these topics.

The conference will be held on June 1 and 2. The theme is innovative ideas and research in occupational health and safety. The conference will include a wide variety of occupational health research, presented via keynote presentations, symposia, poster sessions, panel discussions and networking opportunities. Anyone with an interest in participating in the conversation is welcome.

A special “Student Day” will be held on May 31, 2012. This is a forum for students to meet with each other and academic mentors to consider topics of interest at this stage of their careers. All students are urged to sign up for this day, which has been highly successful at past conferences.

The program is currently in development. Please visit the website often for updates.
